2012 ReflectioN :D

Hi its Kheola. Im doing my last post on my blog today about what i've liked doing this year. One thing ive liked about this year is going on the Farm trip because we got to taste the milk straight out of the cow. It tasted alright an it looked like a milkshake. After the milk tasting we all got to hold the high presure hose. I think its the same hose like the fire trucks hoses. The other thing I liked about this year was the awsome dam trip, the dam was way bigger than I thought and a lot more water. an the last thing i'd liked about this year was Year5/6 split,the thing i loved about year 5/6 is doing our dance because i'd learnt more dance moves an I leanrt a new song.The booklets were awsome an i think the've put all there very hardest work those booklets. The thing ill miss about Vardon School is my teachers, that have taught me writing,reading an maths. The other thing i'd like is being the tallest kid in the school. The thing i'll be nervous about is meeting new mates, learning more maths, reading an writing ann art. But i'll see some of my other mates from vardon school anyway.

ASSEMBLY REFLECTION!

On Friday 9th of November room 15 had our assembly. I felt nervous when the first class came in the hall. Kori and Libby was our host for our assembly.  Our assembly was about SAME SAME but DIFFERENT. What I did is that me,Lorenz,Jahmin,Kale and Kori done an talent. I also had to put a word that is a similar word to different. My word was divers. My favourite part was singing the song called Bruno mars count on me,an the epal skit. Miko was funny because he had said something about the people in Jordan an that the don't know what a mince an cheese pie is or what netball is. Bella was the judge of the game show. She told some teachers to come up on the stage an they were Mr freak,Mrs natusch and Mrs Sargent. Bella had to ask some questions about different country's and what is the same in NZ. At the end of the show Mr freake won. I'd like the cow to glass skit.

IF THE WORLD WAS 100 PEOPLE

Hello!!!

In room15 we have been doing math. My partner was Moni. We had to do a project on if the world was 100 people. What I mean is if there were 100 people in the world  there will be 51 people in city's and 41 people in towns and villages. As you can see on that poster there are two photos one is a village and one is a big city. Our title is Where people live in the world. The hardest part about the poster is colouring it in and doing the pie graph. Everything else on the poster was easy. I did a graph about where people live in the world because it looked easier. Our statement is if the world was shrunk into 100 people 51 of them will live in cities and 41 of them will live in country.

Me an Moni have put all our effort into this poster an we are very proud of ourselves.

SAME SAME but DIFFERENT!!!

In room 15 we had been doing some Art. We had to choose some strips of faces to make a perfect face. As you can see I've made a face . It is very complicated  to stratin up the jaw lines as you can see my jaw line is perfect. All the boys were in a group and all the girls were all in a group.  The hardest part for me is you had to find the strips that go together and the next hard part of this kind of art is gluing it on perfect on a piece of paper.

ADDING DETAIL!!!

The huge exhausted Bull Dog barked at a speedy silver car speeding past. The sweaty bull dog had been running all around on its new big farm. 15 minutes later there was a police car speeding trying to chase the speedy silver car from miles and miles. Until the speedy silver car had spun out from turning the steering wheel to hard and the speedy silver car spun out and crashed into the barrier on the side if the road. When the dog saw some smoke a couple meters away the bull dog barked and barked until its owner came out and saw it oh god!!! We have to go and see what’s happened on that street. While the bull dog and its owner were walking they both saw a whole lot of fire all around the car oh god!! Let’s call the fire engine and the ambulance said the owner let’s do it barked the dog. When the fire engine and the ambulance came the bull dog had barked at the car. The people had brag a long wide water hose and sprayed the car so the fire could go out. After that the bulldog dragged the guy that was driving the silver to the police’s car and put him into the police car and the police man driven him to Gail. The bull dog had helped save the day.

EGG DROP CHALLENGE!!!

On August the 25Th there was a Egg drop challenge. Mr Marquand gave each group an egg. We had to use 2 ice cream sticks,a piece of long sellotape,2 straws and use paper. With the use paper you had to rape the use paper around the egg and put the 2 straws down the bottom. We've put the ice creaam sticks on the side so if it lands on the bottom the straws will hit the bottom and if it lands on the side the ice cream sticks will hit the ground.

MATHS/Fractions post!!!

I am going to explain how to solve 2/3 of 12. 3*4=12 then you just have to double the 4 and the awnser is 8 and that's what I've been learning in my maths group called ARISOTLE

KILEDASCOPE ART!!

The challenging part of these kind of art work is cutting out the papers into sqares and putting them into a pile of 18 and another pile of 18. But it depense how big your paper is. When the art work was finish I felt amazed like I wnted to do another 3 more of them. But it will take a while thoe. How I did it is you need a compeuter,glue stick and sizus and a printer. If you have photo's on your compeuter or laptop push right click and go copy and copy it on to a peice of paper and print it then grap it out of the printerand ut it on your room wall it will look awsome!!!!!!!!!!

LEARNNING HARDER MATH

On last weeks Friday me and Monisha had finished the 1 to 10s timetables sheet and now we are on the times table rotatable sheet.On this Friday coming up me and Monisha are working on our 3 to 12's. Last week me and Monisha moved into a harder math group called NEWTON.I have been learning my 11s to work out my 12s. Now I will show you a answer so 3x13=39 3x10=30 3x3=9 30+9=39.

MY SPEECH VIDEO!!!

My speech topic was on Captain James Cook.

I choose this topic because when I first heard about him I thought I should put him on to my speech because he does look interisting and I want to learn more about him.

Before my speech I felt a little bit confidint and a bit nervous.

After my speech I felt proud of myself because like I said I was a bit nervous too.

I am really proud of myself because I have done a lot better than last years speech and on last years speech I didnt use expression and not any eye contact either, but this year I did.

Next time I would to like make my speech a little bit shorter and more moving around and more gestures.

MATH WORKZ

In arastotle math group we are larnning our 3timestables and also 4timestables. Too we are learnning about diffrent stradigees to work out our 3's to work out our 4's every time when we are finish MR Marquand gives us awnsers on the board to learn them.

MATHS IV'E LEARNT

In maths I have been learning my times tables and doubling and halfing the numbers. How I learnt my times tables is i take a work sheet home and glue it in my Homelearnning book and every night I test myself on my 1's 2's 3's 4's 5's 6's 7's 8's 9's and my 10's. Sometimes MRMarquand writs questions on the board for me and my group called ARISTOTLE the people in my group are ME,Lorenz/,Cristal,Monisha and some other people too.

REFLECTION ON ANZAC AND WAR

We remember people who fought in war because they were the people to save our land and if we didn't have Anzac day the people that were versing Anzac might be coming over to New Zealand to have war with us.


The thing I most found interesting was in the war the only colours you would see would be green, red, brown, black and white. There was also mice running around and people walking on each other when they were dead.


I used to think when you first start war you don't go over to the war when you shoot guns and that but now I think about war is you just learn things not be in the war and gess how many people died 2721
thats a lot of people that died in war

I want find out more about war and are people still in war fighting???

INTRODUCING ME!!!

Hi my name is Kheola Kim I am a year 6.I have always lived in Hamilton but I would love to live in Australia because my great grandfather is over there and I haven't seen him for 20 years that's a long time. My favourite place in hamilton is everywhere because they have great bike for sale and good prices. Somethings I love are Games, friends, family, tv and movies. This is a collage porttrait of me.
